I need help with deleting EGR & DTC on a VW Amarok 2.0l TDI BI-Turbo.

file is working vehicle is boosting and everything. fault code is still there though. is there anyway to get fault code away of the egr fault.
and my other question is, Must EGR be plugged in or out?
