TOYOTA 86120-42100 DVD ROM mechanical faulty

hello
i have a toyota 86120-42100, mechanically faulty DVD ROM reader. it is possible to run this machine without a compact scanner. thanks for any info.

part of the program on the disc is for radio. there was a version for the SD card. if you have a DVD, replace the mechanism. you will find cheap on aliexpress.
If I'm wrong, have someone correct me.
