Toyota Yaris 2004 digital dashboard flickering on/off

Hello everyone

I have a Yaris P1 2004, 1.0 automatik with Dash errors. I've checked all the Fuse and they all are ok.

Dash specs: 83800-0D331 P49-C / SA457300-2890 / 21676988-9 A

I've check the pins connection and I've clean it with Electronics contact spray, but it didn't help.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it flickers badly, sometimes show a red line in display.

Which Parts should i check ? I have a multimeter.737842737843737843

There is a common problem on yaris dashboards about resistors. If you have not found the in following solution, check all resistors. Solutions:

only red light or half display
mainboard r618 10k
mainboard r308 10k
display board r16 11k

half display
display board r13 1k5

works for a while, then turns off
mainboard r6 51k

speedo doesn't work - auto gear doesn't work correctly
mainboard (under the white socket) r433 20k

fuel level doesn't work correctly
mainboard (under the white socket) r711 16k

rpm blink
display board r15 11k

Hallo everyone.

I have the flickering problem with my Toyota dashboard and I managed to find a solution testing all resistors, as you mention in the forum.

My symptoms are flickering in the display, speed bar not working and sometimes most of indications come and go except the Km/H indicator.

First I clean all cable contacts and change the 2 big capacitors (C307, C309), just in case, but with no luck. Nothing changed. Then I test all resistors.
So I found out that one of the 5 resistors (R413, R414, R415, R418, R421) in the main board (see picture) is not soldered well from one part and I solder all of them.
R15 (11k) in display board needed some soldering too and R9 (1k) in display board was off and I replaced it.

That’s all, dashboard is working now like new :-)

thanks for all the info in here. i 'm a newbie at component matching. would like to know whether those 5490 markings on those 5 resistors side by side indicates 4 digit ohm value (549 ohm?) and how do i find the form factor (size) of any resistor that needs to be replaced? do i have to measure with a vernier each time?

Hello! I am looking for an eeprom for this exact model dashboards . the problem is that my eeprom is missing. Tried with my files but no success,I don't even know which EEPROM is on the one with the automatic transmission 93c46 or 93c56 ???

I am already looking for an eeprom for this cpu 457778-3810 I don't know what the difference is in the file on the dashboard of an automatic gearbox with a manual gearbox, but I tested many files 93c46 and I always have 0km on the display.
