Hi mates,

I was asked to change Instrument Cluster in Golf 5 because client damaged front PCB while trying to change SMD Leds from blue to white https://mhhauto.com/images/lina/1087.gif
I bought used cluster, desoldered 95160 eeprom chip from rear (changing only front PCB didn't fix the problem with - MFD was still showing random pixels) and soldered it to new cluster. Now the car starts and works fine it shows ERROR instead of mileage. I heard it might be the problem with checksum in dump but I wasn't changing anything in the dump just swaping the whole chip.
Can anyone help me fixing it somehow?

Thanks in advance!

Better to swap both CPU and EEPROM.

Also it could be that because of small difference in the pcb revision it might cause some small issues ...
