Guys I have a question. I need P2096 and P0420 off in ME17.9.21 0261S12964. Is what "pioneer427" call E2 the same thing? Essentially what is "E2"? Secondly is this procedure proven to be working as intended? The cars run OK with no issues? I have been informed that this ECU is making the car running rich after this.

If DTCs P2096 and P0420 are off, this is not enough and the algorithms continue to protect the catalyst by enriching the mixture. but there is an ECU where it is enough to turn off the fault code

How would I know if the one I'm facing is the one where that is enough? Can it be checked somehow prior to modification or I need to make it and see if the car runs ok?
