yes this works on vista, you need make a key disquet, or a virtual floppy drive, named vfd i think, see the picture

You can search or the best way is to put engine serial number in and all the parts will come up. Experiment different ways to search. I use this every day for a 1000 vehicle fleet. It is loaded with parts. Disk is as of September 2008, most parts don't change that much.

Hi Guys,
Been out of action for a while due to illness but getting back into it now.
Great to see a dedicated section on DK for the heavy side of the industry (Respect and thanks to the site admin for this!).

Now a small request from me....

Does anyone have a copy of the service manual for the old 71 series engines (2-71, 3-71, 4-71, 6-71 etc etc) that they would be willing to share?? Got 3 engines to rebuild and really need all the info I can get on them.

I don't know if this information will help any, but whoever the truck is registered to can sign up on Freightliner's website and get access to all manuals on line that are related to that truck VIN. I have been told they are not down loadable.

good luck, last via motori i owrked on I ended up calling from the US to germany for any infromation, I used to work for detroit and they treated those like a red headed step child.

Sounds like I may be in trouble.Engine is brand new with Ecu and harness a couple grand off fleabay.I had never heard of or seen one before so had no idea bout them but told him I would try and get some info for him.he is not a bad sort of fella.Really only needs main power pos and neg inputs to ECU as rest of wiring all looks pretty straight forward when you lay harness over engine.

I am working on a Series 40E which runs very rough, no fault codes. I saw a mix 1830691C1 and 2593597C1 injectors on this engine.

I need to know if these injectors are correct and identical. Engine number is 1C315D W55273N1513824.

I don't have the manual, but the DDEC III, IV and V trouble shooting guides are in the help section of DDL 6.45 and it's here on DK. I would guess the other versions of DDL would also have the manuals.

Jack,the ddec 6 troubleshooting is on dddl,ddrs,and ddde.It cover the mercedes and dd15 and 13.It doesnt cover the 60 series that I have found.Could realy use the 60 series if anyone has it.
