Hi,
Ideally I'm not just after a file dump but would rather understand and learn.
Recently rebuilt an e46 320d and now looking at getting rid of the EGR error (I did an EGR and swirlflap delete), not sooo bothered about going to stage 1 but would be nice potentially.
The ECU is BMW 3er E46 320D 150PS 110.3kW Bosch EDC16C31 0281011122 O_55KAC2 361881
I did a read today over OBD which is a partial read (the front section of the file is FF), from what I've read an obd read is sufficient for tuning but I'm not so sure EGR will be within that section.
So my questions are as such
1. Do I need a full read? If so I'll BDM it and pull a full read
2. Which sections require changing
3. How to checksum the file
Sorry for the questions, I originally came from a petrol background (MS42 and VAG 1.8t), so this is a new learning for me.
Thanks
