X300 DP Full Fiat 500 key programming problem - remote fob stopped working

Hi all, used the X300 DP today on a 2012 Fiat 500 to program a spare plain key.

All went well, precoded the plain ID46 key (PCF7936) with no problems and then programmed the original remote key and new key to the car.

Both keys will now start the car but the original fob key will no longer operate the locking on the car.

Is there a prcedure I need to use with the x300 to get the remote locking working again please anyone ?

Hi. There was an error in adding a key, you finished the process without saying the procedure was successful. solution replace the remote key chip 7946. and precode the vehicle and add 2 keys.

Dont know about fiat 500 but on fiat stilo after key programming there is procedure also for remote key programming/sync, remote key programming needs also pin code.

I assume on fiat 500 is same procedure.

Btw. Original remote key you can sync anytime again, about the spare key if it starts the car i assume you dont need to replace pcf just sync remote

No did not try battery diconnection, will try when the car comes back

Thanks , I was thinking maybe I will have to replace the pcf and precode the fob again.
Will order in a chip and try again if needed.

Hi, i have re-programmed the original key again but this did not bring back the remote locking.
X300 has the menu options 1. program key 2. Program remote, I did try the program remote option and entered the pin but the process does not complete just tells me to make sure key is on etc.

The car is coming back to me soon and I will try again

When you programm the remote with the pin it should tell you to press on remote any button and after that on diagnostic device it should show up remote id, that means remote is programmed.

i had on fiat stilo issue with autel on remote programm it has not work, old sbb has then programmed remote succesfull

If the key is running the vehicle, the insertion is successful, check the remote board frequency.

Stop with that bullsh1t please... Fiat Stilo have nothing in common with Fiat 500 programming procedure.

There is no separate remote programming procedure for Fiat 500.

Reprogram both keys again, disconnect car battery or BCM power for a while.

he should be able to sync old fob anytime if tool is capable of programming remote, i know for sync remote i had to use old sbb instead of autel.

Just wanted with him to share my experience


Btw. On fiat stilo there is also no seperate function to programm remote it has to be done in the key programming procedure.

There is no separate remote programming procedure for Fiat 500.

Reprogram both keys again, disconnect car battery or BCM power for a while.

I am sure you are correct, there is no separate programing needed for the remote funtion, I will try disconnection and report back if success.

You seem very confident but you're totally wrong in this case and you're giving wrong info so I corrected your mistake. And you talking to me why I even dare to quote you?? Seriously?

I don't ever ask for any THX + REP because those thing you earn by yourself by helping others and spread useful and correct info, not need to ask anyone for this!

Key already programmed in BCM . no process is require to Fiat 500 Remote control , key is simply defective .

IF TOOL KILL BSI , big problem for locksmith only

Only time u have to do this, is when you program key directly to BCM eeprom.
