MG pektron system how to add when original remote dead

Hi all have a mg tf where customer remote fob died.

I have ordered genuine MG fob with barcode

How is it programmed without a working fob?

I hear there is a box with eeprom to read any instruction of location or whether it's able to be added diagnostically with ad100 or something similar and the barcode
