Hi all, I'm struggling to get this car to start. I can read the DME ISN using INPA (see below).

Can someone please match the ISN to the attached EWS dump if it's not already matched?

DME ISN
0x8AB

Thanks in advance

Thank you good sir. I am struggling to get this car to start and not sure what is problem.
Maybe you can give me your opinion on my situation.

Car has EWS2 box but I believe it has EWS3 software with rolling code.
Mechanic shorted EWS line to +12v by mistake trying to do EWS relay bypass. (car wasn't cranking)
Real problem was corrupt key slot so I read the EEPROM and renewed the key slot and car started cranking normally.

Then I was left with code 148 in DME (ME5.2) which means EWS line-fault (short circuit or interruption).
I checked continuity between the lines and all seems OK. Testing DME-EWS line with oscilloscope I get a square wave.
The technical documentation shows an inverted triangular shaped wave but I think square wave should still be fine?

I'm hoping this code 148 really just means bad rolling code/ISN but sync alignment always fails.
It could also be a bad DME but hopefully this new modified EEPROM will fix the problem?

Thanks again kiszka, you are always very helpful!!
