Hello.

I have an Opel Vivaro 2.0 CDTi with Bosch EDC16C36 ECU.
The board inside is burned and the car is not working.

I bought a used one exactly same original number and everything.

The thing is, I can not clone the original one because I can not read it, when I try to read it with K-TAG the ECU make some smoke and I get error when reading it.

What is the solution for this?

Thank you.

If all the sw and hw numbers match then either desolder eeprom from old ecu to the new ecu or read the eeprom with programmer and write it to the new ecu

for what you need it....?
it´s only good to get maybe corrupt data...
trasfer it physically and you will be almost 100% sure, that you have done a good job...

yes just swap eeprom with hot air

I have never removed an eeprom and changed, so I dont want to do anything wrong and ~~~~ it up.
Or is it very easy?

v easy! google SMD desoldering or soldering. not necessarily has to be hot air. u can remove with solder iron too. these chips can handle very high temps

If you have no experience with chip removal or with a soldering iron then I would not risk doing that I would just read the chip with programmer with a soic 8 clip as it is on board

Done this many times with programmer not the one you looked at but should do same job.

If in doubt post the read eeprom here and I'll look at it to make sure its not corrupt and all there.

Hello.
I got the programmer now.

How do I know which eeprom to read?

I attached picture..

Do I use the "SOIC8" clip and connect it to the programmer and attach it on the eeprom? And read?

I bought an used ECU.

I wrote all files by themself, one by one, mpc + fls + eeproom.

The files wrote successfully.

But the car still doesn’t start?

What could be wrong?

Not even cranking engine.

With diagnostic tool, I can not read the engine, it says failed to disconnect.

From your above two posts with dump attached you went wrong too far, have you corrected it ? The menu on the programmer must be 25320 or 95320 and the saved file must be 4 KB in size, not 512.
