Hello

I have a Problem with my ECU from Fiat Punto 188, 1,2l Year.2000
ECU Is Magneti Marelli IAW 59F.M2 HW002 46760606. Flash Motorla <HW100

I have read this ecu with Abrites. If i understand it right, Immo is in EEprom not in Flash (By the later version >HW100 Siemens is in Flash)
So with Abrites it's possible ta make this ecu VIRGIN. I have read EEprom and after choose VIRGIN and it was successfull. I do not power off and i
read eeprom again. After reading eeprom ECU was VIRGIN. But if i make complete power off and on again after 2 minutes and read eeprom again, ecu is not VIRGIN.
Whats wrong why the ecu go back to not VIRGIN status after power off?
Did someone know the solution?

Virgin. Read EEProm = Virgin without power off After Virgin.

Power off /on Read eeprom again = not VIRGIN

:)) bad fvdi or bad ecu. Btw, on that ecu type, you are not well informed on that ecu type. Eep <100, flash >100... that is your oppinion, i suppose?

When you power on the immobilizer writes the immo info in to the virgin ecu, that's normal, to stay in virgine condition do not open the power and remove it from the car....

Ok. Thank you for the info. I have connect this ecu on bench without car. I wonder me that some ebay seller sell this ecu in virgin plug & Play mode.
Because when power off.. virgin is lost. That is my expirience.

I have a iaw5af.p4 that is making the same issue. Even after total reflash, rewrites and boot flashing and resets...ect... is doing the same thing. The other 80-90 ecus that went through my hands were correctly virginized.
As I told, bad eeprom or bag fvdi. Try reinstalling fvdi, maybe you have a chance.

I had make many virgin ecus 59f (but not hw002) with fvdi 2014 on car, never have any problem, i make the ecu virgin, switch off the ignition remove the ecu and put in in other car(after days or months...), every time works fine....

Hw002 never shows in fvdi the immo state (if is virhin or paired). But as i have told you, must be an eeprom issue, becouse i have encountered this problem on a iaw5af hw303

Hello

My FVDI 2014 show the Immobilizer Status = Active when i go normal to diagnostic ecu. Maybe the ecu is really the problem. Next time i will try other one.
