Yeah dude

Looks like on face value the "?150+vat" from motor factors is the same "?35 who flung poo wong ying-yang" set off ebay.

For what they cost i would buy one off ebay. They only have one year warranty potted in resin (not that sort of resin) so as long as they last one year do it.

1) DO NOT touch anypart of them whilst on
as they have enough power to blow you willy off and 2 fingers like some AA man

2) Check around on 'other' sites before you buy for your make/model car as some are easy to fit. some are 'hard' eg astra 4 headlight out, bumper off!

3) When ordering make sure you ask if the kit has "bulb failure capacitors"
included Some electronic controls cars give a nice disco effect.

4) Get some cheap super glue sometime you have no choice to other than glue bulb in.

5) Too lasy to look, but did you update your 'Vulva brake shoe' thread? Thanks

Meaty

Aftermarket HID (Xenon) headlamps (http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps)

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!
These kits are not only illegal in this country but are dangerous too. Please see the above link. They will fail an MOT too.

So you need to make sure they are fitted correctly, make some marks on a wall from the original aim to make sure the new ones are in focus etc. Then if you have the willies before an mot put your original bulbs back !! Just don't blind a policeman :)

Or kill someone in the meantime!!!!!
A proper factory fitted kit has an auto leveling system and a self cleaning system to enable it to work properly. All after market kits are illegal and more so dangerous.

i get what your saying about not having a ce mark on them,as for mot i see no reason providing there is a pitch they wont pass ..from what iv read over the last 24hrs it seems there are 2 to 3 points that give off a glare which is what may blind you. i got one of the neighbours boy racer dude sons to throw his all noise and no go focus round tonight and out of curiousty to check the beam pattern . pitch angle was 0.5% these where those crappy blue ones he tells me 8000c . obviously the car coming towards him may feel differently . the reason i asked about them is more and more cars seem to be using them .and when you compare a correct conversion of arround 800 compared to the stuff on flee bay 70 notes its understandable .

there lethal weapons all the chavs have put them in there stupid cars and all they do is blind other people, the beam pattern is wrong, just a big bright glare, even cars factory fitted blind you due to the self level sytem

A new question:
Does anybody use LED auto lamps?
Like fog light, dashboard light, turning light, etc which cover all auto lamps with the exception of Headlamp?
No as can't be bothered messing around with resistors or vag-com etc.. Changing a cars settings so it doesnt put on the bulb failure lamp its not worth the hassle in my opinion for an indicator how ever if a customer wants to pay then ill happily fit and charge.
