Hi,
I got a Leon 1P 2.0 with BMN motor and was wondering if it has stock software.
I went to a tuner and he read the ECU and opened the file in WinOLS.
Then he showed me that WinOLS was showing "100% Original" for the file of my car.

Does that really mean the file is stock or does it just mean that it has not been modified by HIMSELF?

how can we tell you if file is stock without the file?

I don't have the file.
I was just asking if it's stock if WinOLS says 100% Original.
If it's possible to tell by my (little) information.

He has just imported the file and on the import screen it showed 100% Original for my file.
He hasn't looked at the maps.

It showed some other files on the import screen too with 92% Original and so on...

So how does WinOLS determine how original a file is?

can I read it with Kess? I can't find the correct protocol...

Should be pcr2.1... kess should do it if ecu is unlocked.
If he import file and done same before and safed this in his database... winols recognize and tell 100% ident!
Also shows if he get a 100% matching tune done before or in his database.

Why dont you trust him. Why dont you think its series?

this would be a seat leon fr ppd 170 with the engine code bmn they have a siemens ppd1.2 ecu 03G906018DT
and the kess protocol is 109 and read via can line i have the same engine in my golf gt 170 and reads and writes 100% ok

I trust him and all that but I was thinking maybe he made a mistake in WinOLS.
I will try to read the ECU now.

If I want to flash a tune in some time does the cooling fan start spinning while writing?
I ask because I have no battery charger for flashing and don't want to brick the ECU.

Would it be a bad idea to connect a second battery in parallel?

It's best for you (and most simple) to connect another running car with cables to yours :)

the cooling fans do spin on these cars if your using an mpps like an old v13 etc.. which i dont recommend
but with a kess v2 they dont spin but always use a battery maintainer/charger they dont take long to write to about 6 to 10 minutes

these engines on a stage 1 will make around 205bhp and 420 Nm of torque 226bhp and 462nm stage 2 is on the limits of the turbo and the injectors are good for about 260 to 270 bhp depending on the condition dont try and look for firad nozzles or upgraded nozzles nobodys makes them for siemens piezo injectors

Guys I did it...
Asked a local tuner to make me "light" mod for this engine.
I flashed it via Kess and everything works but I have a question.

It feels like the car has less or the same power until 2.000rpm.
Also in 3rd gear it is a little jerky when it hits 2.000rpm. Like if the boost increases exactly at that rpm.

I know I could ask him to have a look at it again but I wanna ask you first if you can see anything related to my symptons in the mod file.
I don't wanna share the mod file here so please if you wanna help me go ahead and contact me for the ori and mod file. :)

I already read a lot in forums but everyone said something else...
When the engine is warm and Idle it is a little bit stuttery.
Does someone know where this is maybe coming from?
It's on stock software too.

some pd engines have a rough idle raise it a little bit in vcds and it will smoothen out and as for the jerkyness i would speake to the guy who did your file beause it shouldnt be doing that

I got a second tune from another tuner.
I just have ECM and see that there are not many tables changed.
Can someone tell me if its good or bad?

If this one is crap too I would like to ask someone who knows what he's doing to do me a good file.
I paid almost 300€ now and apparently I just get crappy files.
