I know, I know, I must have said this a thousand times but...

If you aren't buying from a Dream Multimedia approved seller (http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/english/dealer_EU.php)then it's a fake! No IFs or BUTs, FAKE!

But they are very, very good fakes! :roflmao:

At the end of the day real or not ALL Dreamboxes are manufactured in China.
Dream Multimedia's greed by pitching boxes at ?160 & forcing down the prices from their manufacturer is probably the reason behind the glut of clones on the market.

Virtually all models are being cloned now 5**, 7*** & now even the 8**. The 8000 has an RRP of ?600,although still in beta testing how long before the clones are out?

That site it not promoted by Digital Kaos. I've said it many many times, we are not affiliated with them in any way. Any problems you have with DVBMonkey email them directly, don't expect because you've posted here that your problem will be fixed.

Dream Multimedia stopped making the DM500 series in Nov of 2006 so that's almost 2 years ago. So ALL DM500 boxes that you see available on the internet are fakes. Unless they are sold by a dream multimedia approved seller, in this case, they may still have some in stock but they will be priced at about ?135.
