Hello guys.
I have a problem. Actually this is my car. Audi A6 2000y. I had problem with the battery. I replaced it. So the airbag light was on.
Internal memory error 65535. Inside a cr16mfr processor. I have a tool to reprogram it trough the obd connector. It can make it. But after few days the light is coming back. Erase again and ok for few days again. Does anybody know the solution. I have UPA programmer and OBD vag reseter (black box with two button).

Use some diagnostic tester to check where is the problem! Do not reset airbag module... Read error codes from ecu. mayby spiral spring, mayby some airbag connector in seat?
This is the common problem..

The fault code is 65535 internal memory error. No other fault code in it. And after the reprogramming it works fine. I tested with vagcom and every thing is ok. But 2 or 3 days and again the lamp is on. And same problem.

Replaced this module.Fixed 65535 and see now other errors like side airbag ignition or something else.My expirience is such.Only replaced.

i had it before and its software problem for 90 % , post the dump i will look for you.

I had before same problem with VW Lupo, it was soft problem, so maybe you cleard or repaired fie is not too good. Look for other good bin from same unit and fill it.

Yes. But do not the cr16mfr.
But I found the solution. I can read it trough the KL line.
I am waiting for the programmer. Carprog is expensive for me.

If the error cancels each other out, and this comes back after several days - you have the damaged processor.
Only replace sensor.

yes,if still light airbag every 2-3 day,have only 2 way.
1. replace battery and clear GND point
2. a last is change airbag controler.

in this airbag unit , mcu is CR16 @ PLCC44 and no one programmer can read this mcu ( no datasheet available !!! )

to kakkak66 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/107536-kakkak66/) - you must replace this modul with other one new or good , otherwise @ 2..3 days that "airbag fault 65535" will come one again. I suppose this kind of mcu have some internal problem

airbag fault 65535 you can erase whit hand VAG airbag reseter TESTED, and can read eeprom cr16 whit program cr16.exe
