Hi Mates,
After more than a month-long spent trying with Motorola Cracker SW I dont get success with them at all, reset... reboot... reset... reboot forever! Can someone help me to a new try with the proved copies of them, it can be v4.3 and/or v6.2 or any. By the way, it has been proved that there is no problem with my MAX232 based interface , working fine. This is done by the other SW and the good Moto MCUs which using the similar interface. Many thanks.

Try to read on the board or removed MCU?
Which processor trying to read?
Post your schema interface.

Hi Mates,
The MCUs tried are A8(QFP64,c96n),A1FN(PLCC52, D26E),E9(QFP64,E28B),811E2 (DIP,C16J),K4(PLCC84, D67F) and F1(PLCC68,F43V & only with other program) with on the boards and removed (with X-tal 4 or 8 Mhz connected). All are working fine, readable and programmable with other program which requiring the same interface but non with Moto Cracker I have. I built interfaces both the circuit of single MAX232 and the MAX232 with LS245, found on the net. I'm aware that there are some mislabel/minor mistake on the circuits but they were corrected during build up. Unfortunately I lack the know-how to use SW to redraw them. Both circuits are working with most combinations.
With the hope that the new copies of the SW will help me to verify the problem.

Thank you mates. Try again with the v 6.0 and v7 ok from arturkob and v6.2 from car235 with all the MCUs, still no work. Restarts all the time but booting not success. I just think these SW copies are identical to the ones I have had. The v 7 ok is said to have some bug in it and I quite agree as the displayed EEPROM
address at least for A8 is wrong. I'm still quite sure that there is nothing wrong with my HW interface, MCUs and
the connection, retesting again with other SW is going well. Now, no more idea what are the puzzles behind. My PC is Pentium3 700 Mhz, XP SP3 and with the true RS232 com port. Mates, still need your help, any good trick from your experience to overcome this to share. Thanks.

I have never had no problems with it what so ever you are not trying to use a usb to rs232 adaptor. UIt also works with other off the shelf hardware.

What HW is for reading HC912 with motocracker 7 ? On BDM pin must be any spliter for RX/TX to one BDM wire. Know anybody this HW ?

Thank you all mates for the comments but even I try to +5V pull up to the RX and TX lines and with various versions of the SW all the results are of no change, the MCUs cannot boot up. This starts me to rethink on what any other possibility of fault on my boards even they works perfectly with the other two programs. Otherwise, should I give up and use other program instead.

And what you are using the scheme you can show? just add the face values of all elements

The scheme in MOTOR2_3.9.RAR (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/attachments/f115/10184d1264502841-motorola-cracker-sw-please-motor2_3.9.rar) by prusony should work, but I tried it with other similar program.

However, one more thing I would need to know. Can someone tell that all Motorola Crackers are compatible with Windows XP or not? Thanks.

Thank you for the scheme. on work programs under OS WinXp just can not say. but I can say that the reset signal is exactly on any version of the program. I have one more question, if not remove the processor from the board and solder the wires only get to read and write memory??

With this design, and program eprom can read and write, you can also read the ROM. the only thing that MC68HC05B16 legs 22, 11 - the level of logic 1. 19 feet 10 volts. 9 feet land. According to another processor will not enter treatment.

You comfirm that the SWs work with both Xp and win98 or just ask.

I so far get no success with these SW of all ver. with my XP SP3. I now put the project in halt, put them in the drawer and wait to get the right win98 SW to try again. My slow lownload not allow me to get it from internet.

please anyone friend could expose a more detailed explanation how to make this SW work with these interfaces RS232?

Some non read problems are because the IRQ line can't be pulled up to 10v. Monitor this as you try to read the MCU.

Zmann
9th May, 2010, 02:22 AM
HC11s do not need IRQ 10v. I've done lot of tries, the final suspect is the OS and it was in my last question. If you got success with them, it's better if you could
confirm of what the OS you got success with.

Hey, why the Motorola BDM v2 have a hex for atini2313 20Mhz and in scheme uses a at90s2313 at 10 Mhz.
This is fake?

I think you can no longer get at90s2313, it's too old. That's why attiny2313. Attachment might help.

That should be. But that is the type of a ceramic resonator replaced X-tal, I the first time see the ECU with a ceramic resonator instead of X-tal
