Hi I hope someone can point me in the right direction, Have a 2003 golf 1.9 diesel ASZ. (not a VW person)
It has a flat battery due to a parasitic drain, It draws 0.5 amps with doors locked and closed down.
If I remove fuse 12 in fuse box listed as S12 on wiring diagram it drop to 0.17.
The wiring diagram shows it going to E15 Nav control unit which this does not have, and E52 Communication control unit.
What is the communication control unit and where does it reside.
Or could it be that by removing the fuse it shuts down the communication circuit and the CAN goes in to sleep turning off what ever consumer is the draw.
Im double bluffing myself so thought id ask on here for another pair of eyes.
Thanks
Ted
Just a note, it now brings the cooling fan on when the fuse is removed after starting and stopping the engine with it removed, I assume some sort of overheat protection like peugeots have ??
