hi ive managed to recover a edc16cp35 for a bmw with the correct bdm read but ktag is displaying the wrong VIN number would this prevent the ecu from starting thanks

Are you using your EEPROM?

You need to sync EWS-DME to make the car start

Yes correct eeprom just just need to sync to make they car start ?
