Good evening!:)
I need to shut down immobilizer on this ecu. Tried to do with edc16 calculator but think it isn't good because connected at bench ecu send error 18048-internal control module eeprom error.
Which software need to use for checksum correction? I write file with ktag eu clone.
Can someone help me please, to make file correctly. Thanks.. :)

I still have 18048 - internal control module P1640-000-eeprom error. Is there some way to bypass this error and what means?

Hello, happy new year!:)

I don't know exactly, I bought second hand ecu and exploring what can I do on the bench with vcds winols, and ktag.
I can try with first backup eeprom file to see which error will flash in vcds. Think that error flashed when the ecu was stopped few times starting engine on the bench because first fault that was flagged was engine start stopped with immo!

fault code 18048 eeprom error now is deleted, great! How you made it if you can explain me? :)
I see that's file with immo on because now 17978 - engine start blocked with immo shows..

Now I must make immo off on this ecu correctly without showing internal error eeprom fault code.
I want to analyze ecu signals on the bench and can't do that if immo is blocking other signals! This is the point why i'm doing this immo off..

sorry, I forgot to erase faults, now strating of engine isn't blocked anymore with immo, and immo is off.

Well, as you can discuss it if you unknown what is fault in original?
You can have ecu which have inside coctayl and fix this problem possible two ways.

#1. Use erase dtc after good immo off.
#2. find good full bdm from one ecu and set immo off.

I found new eeprom file from the same ecu (full bdm) here on this forum, made immo off with calculator and checksum calulation, now works without faults and immo is off.
When I compared two files in winols saw many differences in hexdump..
Something was wrong in eeprom memory of this ecu. Now just must to modify vin number and mileage.. which software use for this procedure?

And full bdm it's mean full flash (not map) with eep from one ecu.
Just eeprom from another ecu it's not full bdm.

For this problem like in this ecu which you have ,replase just eep dump no help.
