the Pli image will work with both cable and sat, just set it to default settings.

your going to need a sat tuner to replace the cable tuner, its just a plug and play one so easy to do.

only problem is they are hard to get at the mo.... maybe China is the best option just now..

they cost about ?30

I would suggest you swap the tuner and then re-image the dm600 the Pli image will automatically recognise the sat tuner and configure accordingly.

agree ... its better to re flash the box after you install the tuner.

The dm600 is a linux pc and the last time you used it you had a cable tuner now if you take out the cable tuner and replace it with a sat tuner it will need to reconfigure the OS. I am no expert on linux and you could try it without re-imaging the dm600 but if it doesn't work then you are going to have to re-iamge the dm600 so you might as well save yourself some time and do it after changing the tuner so you have a clean build.
