Suzuki Baleno Ecu Fail Safe Mode

I have a suzuki baleno 1.6 16v 1998 I think it maybe running in Safe Mode, i am new to forums so if i have done something wrong just let me know so i can educate myself any help with the baleno would be great many thanks shane

Is the engine management light on?
If yes, have the codes read by a dealer. Saves a lot of time.
If no, why do you think it is in limp home mode?
