Hello DK,
I am trying to program a remote into a 1994 S 420, (W140) It doesn't have an Immo box, so I can't do it like the later models.. Read immo HC05, then run the data thru AVDI DAS2 remote maker, then write data to the 8 leg in the remote.. This box is from the trunk above the pneumatic locking mechanism, it has an NEC chip and an old 93C46.. anyone have any idea where the remote data might be located??
Thanks in advance..

Thank you... Here in the US we didn't get immo until 1997.. on the 1997 and later cars we can generate remote from immo data.. It's just the pre 1997 cars we are having issues with.. The owner of MBE, Borris, was able to send me remote files... They are looking at incorporating this feature in there KR55 software... They already have a winner in that software, now it will be even better..
Thanks again for your reply..

Too funny.... We are looking for a 95 and a 96 that have an immo box... have looked at about 15 cars, and none have had an immo... The only ones here with immo are 1997 model year cars...
Take care,
Tim

if there is no immo, then there are no transponders in the keys? '97 is already a radio channel and not infrared .. interestingly, I did not know that there are so many cars in the USA without transponders
