Hello,
I am having problems with this mcu of jeep cherokee 4.0 ecu
I desoldered mcu from pcb and i am trying with upa and xprog but without success
I put an 8000 oscillator but upa say "reset is low" and xprog "device is silent"
Any suggestions please?

Why not try it on original pcb ?

A strange mcu ��
In circuit was impossible to read
I desoldered the mcu and followed the connections in the Image... It work only in this way:
Link gnd to vss pin,try to read : device is silent
Desolder gnd and solder again and all is ok for One time...a mistery...
