I saw that Tango has solution for some models MB 96-98


Is this work on the models after 1998?


I have to do E class 2001 AKL with transponder key

Last month I had to do spare for such E class with transponder key and managed to read immobox eeprom, but found out I don't have active module in any of my TP programmers to generate transponder so I tried geneate universal on Tango and it worked :welcoming:

At the time I took the job, I forgot about this universal chip so I didn't try at first...

You can try xhorse, there is a menue for that. Put transponder in it, choose key position, turn ignition on and off some times and the Car starts. I think Tango should do that too, maybe more reliable, zedfull also........ thats what a friend told me. I did not try it..... but, 2001 is not a Transponder key.

If this method works, let me know.

If its an transponder key it Must be w124 goes till middle of 1997, or its an import.

The customer told me that the car is Y rag 2001 E class with metal blade ignition switch - looks like some of them use metal blade up to 2002
