Good evening, I have a problem with a F31 from the year 2017. It has the eeprom 35160WT. I have used VVDI and I have changed the original eeprom for a M35160DW following the steps of cloning the original eeprom and then changing the first two lines for the new mileage. Now the box shows 999999 and a red dot, also the kombi module has lost the vin number. In FEM I have install canfilter. Has anyone had this problem? Greetings and thanks to all

Most likely you have replacement chip on wrong way round or soldering is not good, VVDI + 35160 chip is a 100% working solution

In the end I have managed to recognize the mileage and the red dot disappears. I have resolved the eeprom and loaded the CAFD file. Perfect job, but while I'm driving all the gauges go away and the dash goes black, I go back to the workshop and disconnect the dash and it starts working normally again. The idrive says you need a software update, go to BMW service

Good evening, I have not soldered original eeprom again. I don't know how it will work with old eeprom because I have loaded the CAFD file. Could it be that the CAFD file was older than the rest of the modules?

If you can't find problem , I think solder ori back and put this to work coding/programming test drive away then try agane vvdi+35160.

From me!
vvdi+35160 good sulution and work 100% ,......so look at better what you to do wrong.
