Micra 04 cluster needles not sitting right

opened my cluster to try and correct mileage put back together but when i switch ignition on the needles shoot up fuel gauge goes to max tacho and speedo go up about a qaurter, can anybody help please

Turn the ignition on ... then replace your needles mate ......
Unless you've gubbed the motors ..it should be ok ...

could i have corupted the eprom the mileage is ok

It is possible mate .... Its a C66... and they corrupt very easily ... But have some PMA mate ... You would remove the needles to strip the cluster ...? So remove them again .. Plug the cluster into the car ... turn on Ignition ... Set your speedo and revcounter to ..0... The fuel guage is harder .. (unless you remembere what was in it ...) simply set it to half full .. turn off ignition .. It should go down to 0... if it dos'nt ..remove and reposition .... Now if after doing this ...it is still the same .... Its Fcuked ... sorry
