Just curious whats the difference in stage1, stage 2, and stage 3what are teh things added on each stage, etc...

Hi,
HP depends from car/engine/ diesel or petrol
Shortly, for example on diesel car..
Stage 1 is with all stock on car just increased in file
Stage 2 usually goes with dpf egr off , downpipe , can be also inter cooler etc...
and stage 3 required more modification like another turbo, injectors etc etc...

For example Audi A4 b8 143hp with everything stock stage 1 will be nice around +40 hp and +90nm, all other modification on car increase something more.. The best check is dyno :)

So for diesel engine

Stage 1 would be tuning only - egr and dpf is still on?
Stage 2 woud be tuning, egr off, dpf off and remove restirction which is maybe replace pipe or removing dpf,catalytc converter and making it to downpipe?
Stage 3 would be the hardcore setup whihc is the engine and turbo upgrades

Hello
Stage 1 is usually EGR off since its easier to calculate Air to Fuel ratio if its off. Stage to is downpipe (dpf off) and if necessaryin automatics raising NM torque limit in Transmission module.

It really depend of tuning company or tuner, Example , some Tuner will do like this Stage 1 and could be EGR Off, DPF Off but Stage 10% increase in power/Tq vs Stage 2 20% increase in power/Tq.
