Sometimes we are lucky to find a solution that is not public yet.
A special solution on a special issue.
Is there any better way to protect your work than the NOREAD?
Because that is not much of a lock.

Send me info on pm if that is best suit for the case.

There is allways a way to read. BDM, Bench... such if you change seed key.
You can maybe block bdm read as well... but than people can desolder and swap the stuff.
Nearly non remap can be that unique that need to be protect.
Custom code can be... but if you able to do you should be able to protect :).

edc16 and 17 are easy to obd lock but as lambda1 said this can be easily passed by bdm read,
edc15p on the other hand noreads do work to a certain extent but again can be bypassed with boot mode

if you want to protect ecu from bdm you could cover bdm pins with apoxy adhesive lol sets like steel very hard to remove but will make it so you cant do it either lol

Excuse me, but do I understand correctly, you people blocking OBD read once file done by you is uploaded to vehicle's ECU? Sorry, but this is rather awuful joke. When someone in near future decide to go for further upgrades on his car, or tuner made mistake (yes that happened to me with "highly reputable" tuner from Bristol) in this case owner has to pay extra money to do BDM read. An idea of glue usage over pins is ridiculous btw.

You can write over obd no problem just can not read but ones you write your file over obd it will be unlocked again, you would have known this if you did your research instead of jumping to conclusions,
if the tuner does a mistake it can be easily fixed by writing the new fixed file and the glue statement was a bloody joke lighten up lol

And the tuner has a right to protect his work does he not? If you want further changes then go back to the same tuner who locked it simple
