I have a customer with a 2014 Fiat 500. I've done several of these before, normally a simple job. This one even had an original dealer card inside the glove box with key cuts, and pin code! Even though I didn't find it before lishiing the door. But when I try to program the key, it is giving me an error. If I try to pull the pincode, it gives me a failure to retrieve pin.

I have tried with code cannibal and autel IM608. I've never had this issue, is this a problem with the vehicle? Or am I missing something? It doesn't even give me an opportunity to program or input the PIN. If I do try to add a key, it immediately gives me a key learn failure. I have no idea why, since the owner said the vehicle was working before they lost the key. They did tow it from the original location to their house.

If it helps, in the immo scan option on autel, the BCM will not say the number of programmed keys, or any other information, it just has N/A, but I can still read DTC from the BCM.

Been there a couple of times. Same situation.
If there is alarm involved, it gets more complicated.

From 2012 and up. There is no eeprom, on this model.

But I think you would sort it out with this.
As long as it have no alarm, activated.
You contact Halkyard. With FTC2 on earlier models.
But you might need FTC4 on this one. Since its a later model.
And maybe need to read under Doblo 2010, sometimes. At least for the earlier ones.

And also Boogie. With one, license 59.
Or generate one startup, without remote. With any tool, who can do it.
And then add the others remote, with you daily tool. When it starts. And acts normally.

Also need the HW.

Gone cost you a bit of money.
But should sort it out, with these two items.

Of course you will fail to program key if you try to code non precoded key. PIN code from the card you found is useless.

The reason why you fail to read PIN/precode is the other thing, I don't think 2014 will use factory alarm, but maybe dealer updated it at some point

It would help alot if you stated where you are , as you will get answers from usa locksmiths as well as uk and europe locksmiths , the systems differ between usa and europe.

have you read the precode data from the bcm and precoded the key to make it a dealer key before programming it to the car ? if not then this is your problem , you must read precode data and precode the key before you can program it to the car .
are you using the correct delphi remote key ?

im608 should read the precode data and allow you to precode the key with xp400 , then code the key to the car.

if issues to be able to read pincode and precode data and precode the key , then try a battery reset or bcm reset and then try again.

i tend to use abrites on these as never lets me down.

No Transponder chip glued round the aerial? bcm reset?

This is a USA Fiat 500, 2014. I was going to program a key without the remote. I can try with a remote key as well, if it will make a difference. It will not even let me connect to pull the immo data to pre-code. Since I have only done a few before, I never had any issue with Autel IM608 to program the key. I am returning to the vehicle. If it still gives the same errors I will photograph to show exactly.

I've attached the photos, and I spoke to tech support from autel. I guess the issue is a locked bcm. Never seen this happen before, but I guess it may have been from when they had the vehicle opened and towed, or something like that. From what they told me, the only solution is a bcm replacement.
