Hi,

Can anyone tell me which drivers I should be using for a Via VT6421A card with Windows 7 64bit?

Regards

Phil

Dont install any drivers, infact it works better without the Via drivers.

PortIo can directly access the ports.

yes the new 1.70 has come along way - a lot of good things

one ive fount is the change of com port - i use com3 to get key (key obtained eg liteon) it then reverts to com1

so no clicky on da tab easy life, i reckon they will get it flashing your drive without pushing any buttons soon :flybye:

It's a PCI Via VT6421A card which I used to use with Windows XP, Is there such a thing as a 64 bit version of this card for Flashing under Windows 7 64 bit then?

Its the driver that will be made for x64 software. Thing is as stated in this thread and others, you dont need the driver installed for a VIA card anymore thanks to the big improvements made to port io driver that is also now compatable with x64 operating systems. Also removing the driver aviods the freezing issues with the liteon drives.

You can get x86 and x64 specific hardware. If its not being detected then its probably a x86 only card.

As said above you dont need the drivers installed.
