Hi, I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu that has never been in a accident but it has the airbag dtc B101D:00 ECU Hardware Malfunction. No other codes shown on the scanner regarding airbag or passenger presence system.
Hello, another colleague brought it to me Chevrolet Camaro 2014 - CANADA.
the car had a collision . He restored the crushed details and the interior upholstery , then he tried to erase the crash in the SRS unti № 13592407 - AS2407T140760359 , but without success many errors occur during diagnostics and
at the end of the list dtc B101D:00 - ECU Hardware Malfunction.
From a donor car takes a SRS unit № 13589834 - AS9834T132519569 , change VIN but appear dtc B3902-00 ( incorrect Immo ID received) and B1001-00 ( option configuration ) .
in this state the car comes to me with two SRS moduls .
I tried to manually remove the crash from the first unit - successfully except dtcB101D:00 - ECU Hardware Malfunction . I write this manual clear dump in second unit and same condition dtc B101D:00 - ECU Hardware Malfunction .
I tried to return the files I read initially but it is always present B101D:00 , attach all files if you can help me with this Camaro SRS .
9s12_xeg384_eeprom is read by colleague CRASH 4kb , cant write with VVDI 2kb I take the matching bottom half and write it with VVDI but the error ECU Hardware Malfunction is present again .
Please help, I'm ready to try test files !
p.p.: I don't have such equipment, let alone for Chevrolet 2010+

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Determine if diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B101D is set and the AIRBAG light is
illuminated.

If DTC B101D is NOT set and the AIRBAG light is NOT illuminated, reprogram the
inflatable restraint and sensing diagnostic module (SDM). Refer to SDM Programming
Instructions in this bulletin.

If DTC B101D is set and the AIRBAG light is illuminated, replace the SDM – AIRBAG Unit .
