I have this ECU with start then stops believing it to be a checksum issue what options are there as it came to me with the problem already so I have no original read

When the engine start for about 1-2 seconds and then stop, is IMMO problem. When is bad cheskum, engine not start. If you need immo off, post file from eeprom.

post flash and eerpom if you have mpps v18 you can read eeprom through obd socket or pin out the connector and read on bench

possible corrupt eeprom while flashing ecu with different sw hw etc as ZIZI said sounds like a immo problem

boot not required if you can read and communicate with ecu do you have mpps v18?

problem you might have is if the eeprom is corrupt even boot mode wont let you write file so you need to write new eeprom with programmer which i have for that ecu thats worse case scenario

try this with IMMO OFF, pass PM. Or write ori file for flash.
