hi all i have a lexia clone and pp2000 it connects to my 02 307 and and when i do a global scan it goes thu every thing. and the ecu it comes up with is abs/esp.engine ecu.and power stering ecu. but not the bsi or the additive ecu.but everything seems to operate, like live data and even did a force regen.is this normal not to pick up the bsi,? just thinking if its thats y i carnt connet to my additive ecu, just before i buy new additvie ecu.just be nice to no that the bsi should be picked up or some cars it won,t
thanks inadvance

Hi
Did you put the right Buld Code and when you tried to log in did it come up with right Vin Number ?
As for 307 it should Automatically pick the Vin Number and than you should put the Buld Code.
Hope This Helps

does the head "talk" to the bsi on a different pin?
or with a different protocol?
I have always seen the bsi even if other modules have been missing for one reason or another.
AFAIK the bsi always has the same address because its the gateway to the rest of the network.

The Built-in Systems Interface (BSI) is an ECU which incorporates:
• Interface electronics (relays, fuses, diagnostic socket, HF receiver)
• Control electronics: The BSI is one of the masters of the VAN network, on which it
controls communications between the ECUs
• Calculation electronics: this controls the basic functions in an autonomous manner
(locking of the doors, signalling, visibility, interior lighting, engine im*obiliser, etc).
• Information about the vehicle for the anti-theft protection (vehicle's VIN code, key
codes, HF remote control code, radio identification, etc)
• A program which is used to control the system and perform diagnostics and
configuration procedures.
E - DIAGNOSTIC
The BSI acts as a gateway for the diagnostic tool which is used to identify the
faults in certain components of the system.
A fault may be:
• a short circuit to earth or to +12V,
• an open circuit (broken wire),
• an operating fault (invalid value sent by a sensor),
• an ECU which no longer communicates on the network: network isolated
or faulty ECU.
The BSI acts as a gateway between the VAN network and the diagnostic tool.
In addition, it helps with energy management by controlling reduced consumption
modes for itself and the other multiplexed ECUs.

looking at a picasso bsi...
the ecu, abs, and pwr steering are not on the can they are on the k line.
the can has the instrument cluster, air-con, audio, sat nav and alarm.
part of the bsi plug pinout
"? Allocation of pins of the Yellow 26-way MQS 26 connector of the main harness.
1 - K diagnostic line serial connection
2 - Input: Vehicle speed information
3 - Input: Engine ECU serial connection for engine immobiliser
4 - Input: Engine speed information through engine ECU

I have another scanner and it says that the additive ecu fault.could that stop the bsi been picked up?I think is not working and codes stored are for additive ecu, additive level reached, and additive quantity.but pp2000.just says not repiying.????
