Hi,
I have pug 307.late 2002 model. 1 week anniversary.

When it passes 70 MpH, it sounds and audible alarm.
No other visible warning appears besides that annoying bleep-bleep-bleep sound coming out of stalk module.

There is no trip computer button on wiper stalk available. There is no cruise-speed+limiter module installed on steering wheel.
Tried every combination of buttons I could think off. Even tried multifunction display options.

OR... someone has replaced lights/wiper stalk module at some point, so this option is not reachable now ...
or something has been done to this car.
Nothing in its history to explain this as yet.
Did or did it not come originally with trip computer button....beats me.
So... does anyone know why would I possibly have over/speed limit if I do not have controls to set it/clear it.

Better off...how would I remove it/disable it.
Any help is greatly appriciated

your bsi setings is set for arabian laws regulation, you must enter at bsi configuration with scan tool and quit this option it is called like 130 km/h speed alarm or arabian configuration, the other option is you don`t have the tool is disable speaker in comm behind the steering but your also loose turning light sound.

thanks for the input.
That means someone has been fiddling with BSI settings after all :hmmmm2:
Since its in warranty by garage that sold us the Pug I am not allowed to get near and change any settings in the car.
But at least I now know there is an option to clear "arabian" warning :)
My original idea if all fails was to replace audio warning for flashing led.

So at the mo, I am not getting stalk module off just yet.
But my fingers are itching , grrr.
