NISSAN Almera safty belt keeps Flashing

Hi all, can someone help my friends car nissan almera 2004, on the dash the safty belt light keeps flashing can someone help as to whats wrong or put me in the right direction to fix it, please reply,

i think only way is to scan for codes as it may relate to a srs fault

try buckling the seat belt lol seriously though, could be a faulty sensor that is not detecting the belt is plugged in

unless it has a resistor in the buckle, that would be a goldern operturnity for a double ended butt connector
