Can any one tell me who originated the tacho pro. I bought a china knock off not knowing much about the system. This is my first posting. I am a 25 year exp. ASE multi master tech W/ background in electronics. The clone did not come with enough tech info to use it. ANY help would be marvelous. I would be willing to set up information base if I can get the info to index. Thanks in advance

Did it work, or not work.
What message it give on screen.
Tacho pro is workin under clear DOS.
Also not on too fast computer.
Check file atributes after copy files from CD to HDD, if attrib are market like "Read only", you have to clear this sttribute.
TahoPro is working great on some cars, like VW (Golf 4 without BOO dashes, maybe all Passat 4, some Passat3), Audi ( exept A4 with UK-NSI and some others), Mercedes( E class 95-2001, C-class after 06.96y, A class about 98-00y ...), BMW(most of models ecept E36 Compact, dashes with m35080), Ford Galaxy (same like VW sharan).

Hi! Try this one: :wavey:Download:

Very helpful at first time. A lot of dashboard tips and pictures. Keep in mind, the Tacho software don't cover a lot of USA market cars. Please check a German section of that manual (in German language-use Google translate service) that explain a little more of.

Hi, I'm new to this and have a Tacho Pro v2008 that I'd like to use with a 2007 Jeep Patriot. The default software on the Tacho Pro v2008 doesn't have a choice for a Jeep Patriot, but I know that the Super Tacho v2009 works. Is there a way to update the Tacho Pro v2008 software so that it is compatible with a 2007 Jeep Patriot? Many thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.

Hi everyone, I got myself tacho-pro recently (clone) to play with my E36, but I'm a bit stuck though. I run my old laptop from a DOS CD, the soft seems to be ok, box detected fine but I cannot get it to read my E36 ('98 coupe). Tried on an E39 and managed to get screen with a dump but call me daft I cannot work out what to do to get the E36 going. Pin 1&2 option doesn't seem to help much. All done via 20pin socket.

It is not possible to do a good job with shit tool.

If you have tacho chinese shite, then stick to easy old jobs until you learn more and save more, then buy better quality tool.
An investment of say, ?7000 is a small amount to pay for a toolthat will pay for itself quickly, BUT, dont expect a ?200 chinese special to perform the same way!
Better buy a upa and learn how to programme the eeprom or micro manually using a calculator and your BRAIN.

tacho universal is very good tool if you work on cars up to 2006. for my opinion is better for beginner as upa becouse it is easy to use you have al manuall and many things you can do by obd or cluster plug. but as job goes on you will get upa and x prog m, vag dash com can, opel edc tool, fiat km tool by obd and so on and on, and whe you see that your busness is growing up to minimum 10 clusters a day then you will need tool for 10000E, but for now you take 1500E and buy all chinese tools and try for start. you cant do a couple of clusters and go and buy dp3 or engima , smok or somthing so expensive.
that is my opinion
