Guys

My DM800 is stuck on the ''dreambox multimedia'' on the lcd
screen....

i have been told to flash it with dreamup, using a serial cable.

will i be able to flash it with dreamup to install a new image?

can you use NFI image files with dream up too?

and finally is this the correct cable to use?...

Serial Null Modem 9-Pin Female to 9-Pin Female : Null Modem Cables : Maplin (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=97740)

thanks in advance guys...

westkill cheers for the quick response!

what hapend was i flashed my dm800 via the web portal, and it worked perfectly...

until i realised for some reason i cudnt move my motorised dish?

so i thot id update the software?

after completing the update, i restarted the receiver, and then it just froze on that screen!

initially i used nabilo black hole for bl72, and that worked too...but i decided to use pli jade, as iam used to it.

what did u think i did wrong? i selected the simple motor
set up, and selected ''positioner'' but when selecting satellites to scan, it just wudnt move?

im missing sumthin here arnt i?

thanks again matey!

Hi m8
I update my box on line and have had no problemes but i have had the dream multimedia logo on the box i leave the box off for 10 or 15 minutes and then power it up and its ok i think this is a heat issue on one of the chips or some thing on my box anyway

cheers johny48

Johny

do you know much about the nabilo blackhole image?

i'm trying to send a bouquet list straight to it, so i can avoid re-scanning the satellites again, Dreambox channel editor connects and then logs out?

what do u think is the problem?

also using the DCC where do i install CCCam 2.1.3?

many thanks again!

i use dreambox edit
here
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Dreambox edit . V3.0 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/other/8/dreambox-edit-v3-0-698/)

then
use these settings
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f95/e2-channel-settings-cuberevo-45-east-53-west-47444/index3.html

send these to your box
you may have to add your longitude and latitude settings for your area

you can install cccam 2.1.3 over the net

press green>yellow>addons download mananger>e2 image cams then chose the required cam this will install it
then press blue button scroll right then ok to activate cam
