hi m8, just tried it 676,139 miles. this has me stumped as i can copy the eeproms from 1 chip to the other so the progger must be fine. is there any way i can check the location of the mileage on the dump. the mileage on the ones saved earlier is 98543 saved in both hex and bin.

the prog i use to calc mileage def reads that dump as 88k . are you reading / writing in circuit ?

hi m8, not reading in circuit, removing eeprom from the board and progging on eeprom progger. this has me bolloxed. i dont doubt your 88k dump m8 reads 88k in the calc. is the dump i'm providing the right size?
does any one have a dump for a nissan x trail 2.2dci for me to compare?
by the way, thanks for all your help

your dump reads 840699 or 882753(byte swap) . are you reading / writing in 8 or 16 bit ?
georgem

hi i'm using ponyprog 1.17 and it doesn't give u an option but comparing it to the latest version i would say 8 bit as the 2.07 beta version allows u to choose between microwire serial eeprom 8 and 16 an option not availible on the earlier version. i am using this to read and write to the eeprom http://www.sigma-shop.com/manuals/24xxx_manual.pdf
does it make a difference if you read or write in 8 or 16?

Hi changed eeprom with same results. this is the closest i have got yet this reads 98601 some 10,000 out. when using tachosoft 17.3 i'm lucky if i can get it under 200,000 miles. can someone check this dump out to try and see where i am going wrong.
thanks
