2 months ago I programmed this Transit AKL

Today the customer told me that the van start but the immo light blink and when he try to drive cut off

I whent to check it - the remote worked and the van started and immo light blink

when switch ignition on (without start the engine) the lights on the dash come for second and after that disapear and central locking cycling few times and immo light blink

I decided to clear the keys and program new keys but after delete the keys was not possible to program new keys and now the van is with 0 keys

There is fault code about (impact crash) and maybe this is the reason about cut off and cycling doors locks but I cant find cut off switch on this one

Do you tried with several tools? i've remember some Fiesta i had after clear key, i cannot program new keys

I've had to use my old x100 to program.

Also recenly Ranger T6 need new key and clear old stolen. i could add without problem but cannot delete. All the time security failed.

Scan with 2 DTC on IPC (1 is incorrect config), i've give it up to repair first.

I tried Autel and Smart pro

The problem is that when I try to program the key there is not signal on the coil to read the chip

But when is not in programming mode and just turn the ignition ON the coil has signal

If I program the keys on the bench will start again but this is a big headache also the problem with cut off will be still present

I told the customer that is better to buy ECU kit but in this situation maybe must code the injectors

hello, the terminal behind the ignition is broken, they have a chronic problem.

About a year ago, I had the same problem as yours, at the end one of the fuses was burnt, and everything went back to work

Check front battery under seat more
Likely dead or flat very common on mk7 transit also wiring or fuses or ignition switch.

I think that someone removed and bypassed the front battery long time ago

Sounds vehicle issue and your sadly last person who touched car !!

Just because you did a key doesn't mean my friend you owe customer anything. tell em seek an auto-electrication and warrantee is on key, not the vehicle

When the immo light blink and the engine cut off you can't tell the customer f--k off

I must be 100% sure that this is not the key problem before tell him to find electrican

My fault was that I not tried to add key before delete the keys

Ford ingnition transreciver antenna with part-number BK2T15607AC tends to fail on ford transit, maybe worth checking

Happened to me as well, customer called me the van don’t start the immo light was blinking, checked key good working order, remote worked, I thought I will erase key and programme again no joy, told customer will come tomorrow morning, went next day van started without doing anything, customer asked for new key I programmed new key all keys worked well got the money and two days later got the call again van don’t start tried everything the van just did not start, I called the electrician he told me water in the BSI behind glove box he took the BSI for repair and told me he had to replace resister, I replaced the BSI and van started never heard of him 2 years now, I would check the BSI if every other thing ok.

Check the "hidden" fusebox behind the glove box. There is a second behind the first fusebox. It have give me trubble some times with burned fuses.

Does the interior lights work in the roof? If not check that fuse. This fuse has also give me problem with add key on Transit.

Yes I know this also when the fuse is blown there is not a 12+ on the OBD I had this few times

but you can program the key without this fuse because when you switch the ignitoin ON the power on the OBD coming from other source - Then go to key programming and when the tool want to switch ignition OFF don't switch OFF and go ahead

I don't think in this case - when turn the ignition ON there is signal on the coil but when is on programming mode there is not a signal

Today I had similar situation with 2001 Transit AKL

Tried to program the key not possible there is not signal on the coil and I deside to take out the coil to put the chip directly on the coil and what I found :)

Yesterday I checked all fuses - all is OK
Replaced the ignition switch - the same situation
Replaced the board computer - the same situation
Replaced the dash - the same

When I switch ignition ON lights on the dash come for 1 second and after that disapear

Then I saw that there is mounted Anti theft allarm Green road - The customer never had chip for this alarm

So somehow this goust alarm is activated maybe after battery replacement and now must be deactivated

I tried to short some relays that is aditional mounted but maybe there is many more

If you have forscan use it what fault codes does it gives you.

no faults related to immo system before I deleted the keys

That is why I never delete keys on mk7 just add them
You will need to follow wiring from alarm must be cutting off some circuit this job will cost you in the end with wasted time did you check the first and secondary fusebox mini fuses remember Ford pats can be very fussy with forscan go into pats should give you more detail remember also to check wiring from fusebox and engine does all modules get power powerprobe all fuses as some can look alright but fail also check all engine earth's and also the one under the seat as all these will affect pats measure voltage across all wiring good luck.

I don't know if wiring diagrams will be the same as USA ... If you need I can post complete wiring diagrams for vehicle... Post vin if you want ......

If there is an external non original alarm fitted.

Would it not be possible to find this module.
And remove all cables, soldered into various modules.

And then it should be as it left the factory, years ago.
And hopefully it would accept, to program in the keys again.

A while ago, a rental car which had this kind of box fitted failed (not alarm).
Made the car a non runner.
The wiring from the box was ok, but the rental box had failed instead.
So by removing all this. It should be able to start again.

Maybe do the cutting/desolder, so it would be easy to connect up again.
When it is sorted.

these do get alot of issues in the connections and wiring between ignition , ring and dash , and water ingress is also an issue on some . disconnecting the aftermarket alarm is a good start i suspect .
