Golf 7 MQB remote need resync???

Hi mates,

First time i repair a MQB remote. Remote key start engine but no light or frequency go out.

After repair pcb, light go up and frequency detected. Even after start the car, remote still not operate with car.

Does it need reprogram to sync or not?

My friend, do not mess with the mqb key , as long you have a start, suggest to you to add new key, otherwise you will have to treat it as akl

Hi! I have seen several mqb remotes with the same problem, (start ok remote not working) i suspect the microchip fails, there could also be the right frequency but wrong or no remote message. I don't think you can resync since remotes are learned at the same time as the transponder and should be tied toghether, but if there is a procedure i think you can find it in 09 adaptation.

If you replaced microcontroler then yes ,key has to be re learn , means you need to reprogram key to immo . As was suggested above , will be good to add extra key .

I reprogramed the key and the remote work again

Thank to all, Customer has 2 keys and one remote not working.

I'll go first for reprogramming all these keys first as Manta suggest: X300, Im508 is enough?

I program them with VVDI2 but IM508 also will do the job

Note that after programming is possible both remotes stop work if this happens reprogram again but program first this that was second

There is a manual resynch with an already programmed golf 7 key.
Close all doors, press unlock on remote and then unlock car with door lock barrel.

It just loose synchro like many VAG remote when key battery come bad and need change.

You'd think then ignition on and push fob button would do the sync job!

Not extreme of calling out an auto-lockie to re-program them!

Not that way for VAG car. But i just succes resync Golf 7 MQB after repair the pcb.

why bother with repair. As prev said don't do this if only 1 key or risk AKL balls ache

Because electronic is all my professional life more than 25 years now. Car keys is ONE of my activity.

re-learn is a manual way ..... insert key, ign ON, remove key etc ....
no robot arm need for that

I have octavia 5e keyless go with 2 keys ... one works as remote and starts car ... the second works as remote only but don't start car ... also the second could be detected as mqb keyless transponder with ( transponder auto detect on vvdi2) ... second key id (8numbers) appaers on immo data ... what should be done
