Hi,
I have a question about reading the edc17c50 driver from the bmw f30 320d ed 163km
Ecu number: 0 281 032 299
DDE 8 589 141-01
Will a clone of the ktag 7.020 device be able to safely rip this driver?
Do you have any recommendations when ripping data? Any connection diagram? And do you need to give any resistors in the boot pin?
I do not want to damage it and sometimes while ripping there are different recommendations or the equipment can make a mess

Thank you in advance for your help !

Original hardware such as KTAG, TRASDATA can fully read this driver without opening it with the bench method. The cheapest solution using a Chinese device will be KTM BENCH. It can also be read without opening it. The Chinese KTAG I do not know if it will read, but if it does not, it will not damage it. You have to try. Good luck.

Thank you very much for your reply.
You think I can try to read it without opening it? What then with the BOOT pad do not need to be soldered? From what I have seen, for example, a diagram in a tricore in which you need to fasten the boot pin and additionally use the boot tape two pins

To read Chinese KTAG you need to open the ecu.

Only Chinese KTM BENCH or original equipment without opening.

If you want to use ktag you need to use boot pin, if you have working ktag you read and write without problem.

And do you know what it is like with connection. Just plug in the pins and catch the boot pin with a cable

Should I solder two more pads on the driver board, as in the diagram cable:

16-way rainbow ribbon cable 144300T105

rather like in the diagram with these two yes? Power supply from which is enough or necessarily to do it with a power supply?

Thank you all for your help!

hello, so I tried to rip the map and unfortunately it failed. finds the driver will rip eeprom but the map does not want to rip, at 96% it stops and an error pops up. do you have any ideas the boot is pinned, the pins are also fastened. power supplied
