Hi Bros,

I just bought a BMW OPS clone from China, However, I can't make any connection to the vehicle. The OPS cannot detect the terminal 15 (Ignition ON) but it can connect to the software normally. Anyone can help me fix the problem?

Thanks

As far as interfaces go:

DK (aka "yellow" head) = 20pin diag port , OBD II >2004
(limited function after '04)

OPPS = OBD II diag port / + MOST / + ByteFlight
(NO access to 20 pin)

OPS = OBD II diag port / + MOST
(same functionallity as OPPS less ByteFlight)

OPPS and OPS were designed for later mdls '04>

Current interface is the ICOM series (a/b/c)

Software: GT1/DIS up to ver 44 was all inclusive diagnostics
+ programing/Coding (CIP) (actually ver 39 was
the last complete w/ 44 losing some functions)

SSS/Progman used along side w/ GT1/DIS and is
for coding/programming

2G / 3G is the "online" version of DIS/Progman w/
the possiblity of using J2534 PTT or interfaces
interfaces mentioned above

ISIS / ISTA / ISTA-P new generation of software
server based designed for the ICOM interfaces

Try to update GT1 head firmware trought DIS/Administration/Conection setup but you need serial cable to do this OR update diag-head firmware trought Progman without serial cable.
Best regards,

open the head on the printed circuit board behind the connector there are three fuses F1,F2,F3 look carefully these are smd fuses check then if broken replace or put wire over it.

I have already repaired a lot of china heads through this.

If you want help, please, give all the information.....
Like what car are we hooking to.
Like did you check pin 15 for power?
Or, what about the self test?
Pm and we can get you, or any one else going.

Best regards,

Do not update chinese GT-1 heads!!
these heads are clones, and can not be updated.
You'll get them out of service.

SSS/Progman is complaining that the OPPS firmware is newer than the SSS version. It offers me options to either downgrade the firmware or ignore. I've been worried about downgrading because this is a Chinese clone, but I can't get the MOST interface to work with my 530i. Could the same fuse problem mentioned earlier in this thread explain what I'm seeing?

I can't connect to my OPS head at all??
I can see that it turns on when I connect it to a car, but then nothing happens.
It's like it does not boot op or something??
My other OPS head (that works) is flashing when it tryes to connect to the laptop, but this one does not??
What to do?

Hi guys, does anybody know if the failure of the MOST connection in the OPS is caused by the fuse problems discussed earlier in this thread or could I have some other problem?

Thanks

Are you trying to connect through DIS or SSS? or both?

In DIS, you must go to ADMIN and Setup Connection. When you are done, you MUST disconnect DIS from the OPS unit, otherwise SSS will not recognize it.

Try this:
1.Connect your ops to CAR and to your network adapter ( in virtual machines virtul adapter you must set " Replicate physical....default bridged)

2.Open command prompt and " ping 192.168.68.85"
3.Has you have reply from it ,open internet explorer and type" http://192.168.68.85 "
4.And here set to "Deactivate....."
5.Start your DIS go to Administration,Connection setup....
Done!
