I'm not usually one too have a moan but I have been providing files in this chiptuning section for well over a year, aswell as other fellow members, is this section for providing individuals/business's with free files or is it supposed too be for helping each other out. I myself have never understood it personally and I've never moaned because I love helping people but half of these people join too get their free file and then you never see these people again.... until the next time they have a customer... Something needs to be done with the moderation.

(To the people that are here for genuine reasons, that give and take this is not aimed against you at all. I thought we are here too provide each other with new solutions and help each other)

Hope you are all having a good night... Please have a beer on me :redface-new::redface-new:

I agree with you ..i also invested a lot of money in tools for my work and to help others ..and many times when i need a file..i don't get any help from others ..many times i was asked for a free chip tunning or file's for my friend's(that's mean i'm not earning any cent!!), and every time i was get offers in pm just for money...so that's it ..it;s not fair play in many cases ....

I have the same opinion as yours and I agree with you, well I think the only thing we could do with getting rid of these beggers that makes money off from genuine help is to actually have a look on their profiles, see what they had put their thanks on, if they put their thanks on different cars, just make a file that would actually f*ck the engine or the turbo, it's a harsh thing to do, but well it's an only option to give those beggers a lesson that this forum is not a money making machine, cheers

Yea, have same taugths as you. Specially when i see people NEED HELP NOW. I ask for help sometimes and if it takes 3-7 days before i get help really dont matter. When im working on learning new things that does not matter if it takes some days before i get help. Is it a bad idea letting the help take a while to make buiesness out of this hard? I am aware that this migth be a stupid way of thinking an practice. ? 🤷~♂️

Genuine good idea too make people wait for a few hours... As klaudas1331 said above this site is not a money making machine for business's, it's so we can all help each other and it seems to get worse and worse by the day, new members which will sign it only once in a blue moon or guy's with 1000 posts but no thanks on their end... Something needs too be done.

The forum is already set up like this, the newbe or all those who have been for months or years and have not contributed cannot give reputation, if they give it your reputation will remain the same, for this reason if you help those who have reputation you will grow too with values. Then everyone is free to do what they want, but what good is helping the leechers? The forum serves to help each other not one way. My humble opinion.

This is a special situation and this will always be the case when it comes to money. I think the key to this must be that everyone must do what feels right. I believe that there is no single definitive answer to this. If you feel like taking a while before you help someone, do it, and if you jump in and help right away, do this. The most important thing is that we do not prevent any of all these wonderful people who happily share away many decades of knowledge for free. I must rather say I then think it is worse with all these who bombard pm with offers of services that they should have paid for on a free forum.

But again, do what feels right for you, and do not stop sharing your knowledge and your help even if others think so.

It is they who actively help others without expectations of getting something back that make this a wonderful place, and I learn new things every day.

At least I'm very grateful for the help I get and everything I learn in here, thank you very much.

Cheers

I've read rules carefully before I'd jointed a Forum. Many members who always require money in PM exist here and they aren't banned still. If they continue doing this they might be banned very soon. Purpose of every forum is to share knowledge among its members without any selling :)

I know one guy from other forum (the green one) that from files which on he requested there , he just bought autotuner and flex and dynopro also... so yeah , he just asks and does not give anything , and nobody takes care of that . Im here to learn and help , if i learned something i share it (if i know i can do it ofc) im not tuner or something like that , im just spray painter and software is my hobby , sometime i ask for some file , but its just for my car or my close friend car , then i put original and mod into WinOLS and im trying to understand what is changed and why and thats how i learn ;)

One guy from this forum has requested three times money in PM from me. Of course I didn't pay anything to him. I hope that if he read this, he wouldn't offer his services to me. Hahah :aetsch::aetsch: Actually, I don't need his services anyome because everything is done without him...

You are an example of what I have written above inside for 8 months and 67 posts and 4 times thanked. You know what it means that you take and not give. And this is not the spirit of a forum. If you have not learned anything to help others, I invite you to study from the guides that you find around on the internet. If, on the other hand, you're just here to take, you'll never get anything from someone like me.

I help others as much as I can because I'm still learning about this field. There are lots of members like me so it shouldn't be weird :( I don't brake forum rules... Many member have premanently banned because of breaking forum rules...
