1998 freelader immo

does anyone know wher the immo is stored on a 1998 rover freelander 1.8mpi ecu mkc104392 i iether want immo off or swap the eprom from the original faulty ecu.

bugger it, sure on here recently there was a simular thread, but can't find it.

From what understand 'any' rover immo off one will do, but if you remove the 93c66 next to the processer (bottom left of your photo)

On the dead-met rot, The pub singer named Vic managed to destroy
the eeprom, so if it don't want to come out, then dremmel it off and
solder into a holder, then put a holder on the circuit bored. Blob some candle wax on it.

Remeber to save your dump first.
Try one of the two files, but cut pin 13 (think - immo wire anyway)

If this doesn't work then no, sorrythought that counts. keep searching the answers on here - somewhere!

8 pin SOIC bottom right in the picture above; immo killer will do mems 1.6/9, Darwins MEMS 3 file works for all others.
