There is no setup.exe. There is an uninstall and it says do you want to remove Diamond Logic Builder 15196.

if you have java installed , unpack the files & you should have 4 files ,dlb icon,unistall,a_database.dbm & dlb 9,209 kb file. the dlb is a Executable jar file (click on that one to install)

Obviously it says that something went wrong with your DB
I'd suggent to uninstall, then install it again
also check that install directory is empty after uninstall, otherwise del it manually

then make sure the nexiq adapter u selected is "nexiq technologies usb-link" sometimes there are a few nexiq entries.

if that doesnt work then try a different usb port on your pc, i know the one you have it plugged into works fine but sometimes the usb ports on a pc are assigned different com port numbers.

if that doesnt work then open rp121032.ini , it is in your c:\windows directory

it should look lke this:

I appreciate the key, but I didn't know that this version was diagnostic only, and the database is 5 years out of date (DB ver. 49, current DB version is 125), lol.

I was trying to come up with an alternative to jacking it straight from ISIS, but for what I need to do with DLB, that was what I had to do.

And just to let you guys know, I would gladly post this version of DLB, except it is useless to anyone who does not have an ISIS login with certified programming privileges (which I do). You have to login at startup, if you don't have an authenticated user id, you are stuck in diagnostic only mode.

Aha! I didn't notice this at first, but when you install DLB from the international site, the database is missing. It downloads it once you authenticate.

I actually just installed it on another computer to see what happens, and it did the same thing. The first time I ran it on my laptop, I logged in and everything was peachy, and after it downloads the database, you don't have to log in again. My mistake.

The Nexiq USB link should work with car apps that use the j2534 api. There are some differences in the features available compared to a cardaq+ ff you lookin the registry, but looks like it will work with toyota, bmw, hyundai, mercedes, and maybe honda. Try it out let us know how it works. Ive been dying to test it but never seem to have the time.

I am having a problem with Diamond logic on one of my lap tops . java heap space .

Other lap tops no problem but this one says Fatal system Error (java heap space) than kicks me out. I have reinstalled both java v 6.10 & DLB .

Any body have this problem ? I am running xp pro sp2 1.5 gb ram

Thanks rp1210a I have deleted & reinstalled many times with same problem. I can run both Service Maxx & DLB but when i go into DLB under diagnostics & run switch test that is where it lock up with Java heap space error ? been fighting with this for a while now. after I install jave I check the no update tab :hmmmm2:

If you are running windows vista or higher you must right click on the icon and run as admin for it to come up with the correct key to activate. Hope this helps everyone.
