Just thought i'd tell everyone about the phone i bought recently.
It's called a Babiken DTV3200 (http://www.babiken.com/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=567). It's a freeview mobile phone that works on any network except 3. (Which is the network i'm with!!!) But i bought the phone as a gadget first, portable tv second, and well not really for a phone at all.

But as i was trying to source some information about the phone i came across a number of chinese warehouse websites, that to be honest i think must be seen to be believed. Some of the phones look unreal!

Granted my phone is on the large side, and wasn't first in the styling que, but when you get a reception it throws out a top notch picture. You may be disapionted with the rest of the features. I have thrown every type of mp4 file at it and it won't play any. But the speaker is the loudest i have heard on a mobile. (i didn't say the best, but definately the loudest. Anyway, i just thought i'd put some of the websites on here for folk to have a look at.

And in case you were wondering, i didn't purchase the phone from any of these sites, i got my phone from ebay (british seller), so have a look about, and let me know what you think.

I especially like this one:-Car Phone (http://www.sourcinggate.com/Cell-Phone-|-Mobile-Phone-Transformer-Phone/c4_199/p2267/Cool-F6-Dual-Sim-Dual-Standby-Dual-Bluetooth-Transformer--Phone/product_info.html)

I think they are great, but it might just be me!

It's very interesting. I feel like purchasing. Is it available in uk?

i dont think they are, you may get one on ebay from a uk seller. the reason its on ebay? they bought it and realised its rubbish.
i've had a few chinese phones now and in my experience, they are ok as a novelty (check out the packet of cigarettes phone) but they are quite possibly the worst phones i have ever used. no wap, no mms, dropped calls crappy camera (no matter what they say in the advert) tinny speakers i could go on..

I agree with you on the novelty aspect shady77, plus please note that about 99.9% of these phones don't work on the 3 network.

Angelinalove, please try and do as much (google) research as you can. Take a note of any phones that you like the look of, and search youtube. And remember to take a note of the size of the phones. If you can find an Uk seller (ebay) and you have done research then you will roughly know what you are getting. If it is a Chinese seller then i would maybe think twice!

But as i said in the first post, the freeview novelty on my phone has surpassed my expectations.

bought 2 phones of sourcingate.com. The phones are dire quality. One of them did not work and it took 3 months to get a refund. Avoid like the plague!!!!!
