Hello!
I'm a victim of very strage situation.
Bassicaly I have replaced my CIM module with proper PIN extracted, did it as usually by resetting the module providing its own pin no, after programming the mechanical key number and than moving to programming the immobiliser function, choosing "CIM MODULE REPLACED" car won't take original pin from cim either ecu pin. Now none of car passes doesn't work. What should I do now?

cim I assume shows "immob function not programmed" error ?

If not it is not reset

Has it got a security wait time activated ?

Yes it does.
It had 40 minutes so i put charger on and left ignition on for around hour, tried again no luck.
I've used snap on scaner and maxi sys pro on as my op com broke.

Does it show as wait time now cleared then, if not you may have to try with another opcom/tech2 ?

I hadthe security waiting time set for 40 mins, left the car with the ignition on for over the hour but clock doesn't run. Looked into the mesuring blocks and shows 120 mins now. It drives me nuts now :viking:
Is it any solution to reset the counter?

Why don't you manually write good dump in cim(don't know what is inside, eeprom or motorola) and then repeat all procedure. If you get the same, then you're doing something wrong.

Does your cim have 95160 eeprom?

Have you got the pin for the new cim or is it already reset, if so opcom will be the easiest to program it in

already reset

already reset
Opcom then.
Don't enter any pin other then the one that belongs to the car you are fitting it to
If its already reset with no wait time & to check first it will show "immob function not programmed" error
If it does enter your cars pin only. Should then be good to go & program in

I have written the eeprom to CIM again, to get rid of the wait time. I've reset and programmed new cim. I've reset all of the immo linked modules and proggramed the modules. Car started. Than after switching it back off and back on won't start. Car with spanner blinking on the dash. I red the fault codes, see the report below:

Did you clear all the old fault codes before starting the car, as they look historic ?

Only time I have had a immo light flash after reprog was when the battery was half flat
Would not crank fully, then immob will cut in and all old fault codes reappear and ecu need reprogramming again
(this was with ecu mind but guess could be the same as your cim)

Looking at this scan and errors it looks like you did something very wrong with the cim replacement procedure. I can't explain how the car started.

Battery was fully charged. It stores the faults for pin not programmed, or enviroment. It's defo something wrong.

What could I do wrong?

I would maybe try a diffo tool or version to program with ?
If you program cim then clear "all" old codes so no faults shown before trying to start
Turn off and on but dont start. What happens then ? Do they all stay cleared and work ?

When you programming immobilizer function such as ecm or cim, remember ipc,rec nd uhec must be reset and reprogram back.

lbhire91
12th November, 2021, 08:17 PM
did it that way:
1. reset cim with old pin, erased keys, programmed new cim with car pin, programmed mechanical key number, programmed old key transponder
2. cleared all faults
3. reset and programed rec, uec, ipc, ddm
4. cleared faults
still having issue with "security code not programmed" and wrong enviroment
Tried op com and snap on scanner. Both same results

Reprogram again.
Reset cim wait switch off ignition wait 30 seconds, program back cim after successful programmed ignition off 30, reset ipc key off wait 30, program back back, key off 30sec,on other module do the same procedure.

Cim is not programmed well (you can see it fo scan you posted), so any further reset/programming not make sense.

Ninjor s

Reprogram again.
Reset cim wait switch off ignition wait 30 seconds, program back cim after successful programmed ignition off 30, reset ipc key off wait 30, program back back, key off 30sec,on other module do the same procedure.

Mate do this procedure, leave negative energy.

Tried Your method but on the end I've reset the ecu and did ecu replacement in cim, starts every time! Thank you very much indeed! Happy the car is back running!

Unfortunately, I got back to the car and won't start today. Back to the point where it were yesterday. All modules clear, fault in ECU P1610 (00)- Immobiliser function not programmed, in CIM B2810 (00) Security Code not programmed.
Any other Ideas?

For the interested ones solved!
It needed ecu and cim instalation in immo programming.
Every day is a lesson.

For cim replacing there is no need to do anything with ecu, but you didn't know and did ecu reset...

you are able to arrange an online connection in the car and opcom english or poland
through the teawiewer program
will try to find where you go wrong
