bmw 650 DME replacement

hi there dear members. i wanted to find out if bmw bosch ecu DME 7 566 706-01. bosch number is 0 261 209 093 original ecu can be replaced with the following ecu. had water damaged as per customer. it is a bmw 650. customer got a replacement ecu. part number is DME 7 556 340-01 Bosch number is 0 261 209 020. will this be compatible. the replacement ecu is from bmw x5 v8 engine. both ecu come from a v8 engine.
if this is can be used. can i just cloned old one to new one with k tag to be in sync with immo. many thanks dear members in advance. keep well

and yes, with ktag you should be able to clone it...

hi. i cant read original ecu. i guess to badly water damaged. tried to bdm but no luck. is there any other way to sync secondhand ecu. many thanks for assistance. thanks

read isn from donor ecu
read cas and insert isn to them
make sync by obd
or read ecu + cas - and somebody will do for you mod

you need isn from car...
it´s stored in cas or in cas and key, depends of cas version...

read new engine ecu...
and exchange ISN stored in engine ecu...

but you should also try to find backup of same software version of old engine ecu, becuase of different part numbers...
