I installed new BCM and copied the 24c16 from the old BCM, car starts but dash shows ------

there's no 24c16 on the dash.
only 080 1294w and it's readable as 95p08

is it US dash ?
if yes - inside 25c080

vin is correct in bcm and dash................
so i don't know where is problem in that case........sorry
mileage aslo correct as you posted in #1

check can connection between body and dash ... if connection problem mileage was displayed like ---

I actually ended up buying another cluster and just changed the VIN on the new one and that solved the problem. not sure what's wrong with the old cluster eeprom dump as it's still original and didn't write anything on it.
Thank you everyone for help specially Rafal for pointing me to the eeprom number.
